The "Famous" Davis Sisters, as they were called, originated in Phila., Pa. and with Curtis Dublin at the piano; they became true representatives of their calling both on and off stage. Ruth "Sis" Davis became a legend in the gospel world as one of the most intriguing and exciting soloists that gospel music ever heard! The other members of the famous sisters, Audrey, Alfreda, Thelma and Jackie Verdell, also became an integral part of what was to become and what is now a legend in the gospel world.
